I got my food sensitivity test results back. I’m sensitive to chicken, eggs and cow’s milk. The plan is to avoid these foods for 4 weeks and then add one back in at a time for several days to see if there is any reaction.
It’s a great idea to see if you have any food sensitivities by taking an at-home test. I got mine from Everlywell ($159 regularly, but they often run promos).
Keep in mind that food sensitivities can change over time. By eliminating the food for a short period of time, you may be able to reintroduce it and have no more issues. If you react again, you know it can’t be a part of your diet. Foods that you weren’t sensitive to a few years ago may trigger you now, and vice-versa.
The most shocking result to me is I went gluten free in 2008 and I still had a mild reaction to wheat! Typically, when you don’t eat a food for a period of time, you won’t react to it. This confirms that gluten will never be a part of my diet.
